Bunnies and Tulips

Hello All,
For today I am playing along with If You Give a Crafter a CookiePapercraft Challenges, and The Card Concept. Here is my card today, enjoy!!

The field of tulips is a stamp from one of my favorite companies, Peddlers Pack Stamps. They have since retired and I so enjoy their detailed images and the stippling does all the shading work for you. Below you will find what the stamp looks like.
Original stamp image from Peddlers Pack.
Lots of spring color adorn this card. I colored the image using Copic Ciao's

I love the black and white gingham borders on the card. I added the little bunny by cutting along the edge of the tulip and slipped the little guy right in the slot. Too cute.

Life Imagined

Hello (last time for today, I promise) Readers,

This the last of my African inspired cards for today. As usual, I will be playing along with Colour INKspirationalPinspirational, CASology, and Freshly Made Sketches. Here is my final card for tonight, enjoy!

The world and, again, the geometric element are both on one layer. The sentiment strip was placed over the images. Lots of white space and look at that image with Africa front and center of the stamp.
The geometric strip was masked and then sponged
using different shades of orange.

African Continent

Hello Everyone,

As I said in my first post I created a set of three cards with an African theme. I never knew I had so many stamps that could relate to Africa. Anyway, I am going to essentially copy/paste my beginning and ending text. The challenges I used were mostly CASology and Freshly Made Sketches. Well here is the first of three cards for today, enjoy!

I created a stencil using the retired SU stamp called 'World Map' (Image below). I used the bottom left of the stamp as my guide to peel off the removable masking tape. The continent of Africa was left unpeeled that placed the rest of the masking.

With the masking finished I started sponging Distress Inks on the card. I used Barn Door, Vintage Photo, Scattered Straw, and Spiced Marmalade. You can see the same stamp that was used in the first card, this time I stamped repetitively to create a pattern across the continent.
A simple 'thank you' sentiment finishes off the design.

One layer African Animals

Hello Everyone,

I hope all of you had a fantastic weekend! For me, it was some work and then Sunday was a day full of crafting. This gave me an opportunity to craft three cards! Three cards with Africa in mind. I never knew I had so many stamps that could relate to Africa. The challenges I used were mostly CASology and Freshly Made Sketches. However, for this card, I will also be entering The Male Room. Well here is the first of three cards for today, enjoy!

I wanted to put some cool colors on this card but when I think of the African savannah I think warm colors. So I did a Google search and found the inspiration for my card. I really love the separation of warm and cool colors. Below you will find all the Distress Inks I used to create the landscape.

First, I stamped the lion (retired SU), I masked the lion then stamped the giraffe from the same set. I masked the giraffe and then sponged the landscape. I lastly stamped the geometric pattern. All the masking created a multidimensional one layer card.
At first, I was going to color the animals but then I took the masking off and thought to leave it alone. It looks so nice just stamped. You will find the geometric stamp in all three cards.

These are the set of cards I made with an African theme.

Black and White + one Color

Hello All,

For today I am playing along with Color INKspiration, Mix It Up, and Addicted to CAS.  I think this black and white theme is going to my head! Here is my card today, enjoy!!

Yes, Readers, I made a card for a card game. In conjunction with my cousin's family, we are making a Bonanza board for my aunt. This will, of course, be presented when we give her the board.
The suit of cards die cut is for the Bonanza board but I thought it would also make for a fantastic card. The white border is an inlay to look like one layer. The glittery suits are made from well... glitter. Before you laugh this is a technique where your adhesive is face up. Place the glitter on top of the adhesive and burnish. It was told to me that the glitter would not fall off. Humph... I say... Well it worked! And I was amazed!!
The sentiment is the only dimensional element on the card. It consists of black metallic designer paper, two layers of white, and one layer of black. This sentiment couldn't be more fitting.

Black and White

Hello All,

For today I am playing along with Double D Challenges. Their challenge this bi-week is black and white only! That leads to other challenges like Addicted to CAS. Here is my card today, enjoy!!

I thought the use of a big bold flower
would highlight the contrast of the black and white.
I detail of this stamp is amazing. I was originally going to color it but when this came together I thought 'no way'. It looked beautiful just the way it was.
This shot tells a pretty good story about how this card was created.
First I cut the white border using two rectangular die cuts and set it aside. I white embossed the flower on black cardstock using the MISTI. I then traced the black cardstock on the grid paper and placed the white border right where it should it be and stamped in black. Lastly, I placed the white border over the black cardstock and done!

Pieced Lanterns

Hello Readers,
Today will be my first submission to Color My Heart Color Dare. I am so excited I found them since I have a thing for color challenges. And of course, I will be combining that challenge with The Paper Players paper piecing challenge. I decided to make a set of cards since I stamped ton of lanterns. Enough to create a set of four cards with all different sentiments. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

I think however I will submit this card for The Paper Players.

This was a very simple card to make, In fact, the entire set of four took about two hours to complete. I stamped on various sheets of patterned paper, fussy cut the lanterns, and then added them on top of the stamped images on the card base.
The color scheme is just what this card needed.
It looks fresh, crisp, and beautiful.

A detailed shot of the different patterned papers used for this design.

Challenges Entered:
Color My Heart Color Dare: #339- Tic-Tac-Toe
I used the Raspberry, Sugarplum, Lagoon
The Paper Players: PP438- CAS 'Paper Piecing'
