Purple Heart

Hello All,

Today marks a new month and a new challenge at House of Cards. This month's theme is all about shades of... (not gray!) purple! Here is my card for today, enjoy!

A whimsical and dreamy scene of some flowers and wispy birds.
The background paper is probably 10 years old but the wispy birds and flowers are 'new' to me.
I will explain later.

I decided to use both the colors and floral images.
This is a very different card but I think it works with its shabby chic composition.

It is hard to see but I colored the heart with some Wink of Stella.
The heart needed some sparkle.

You are not going to believe my luck last Saturday! It started meeting a coworker who only works nights. We were introduced and I knew she was awesome! She is eclectic, daring, and so talented!! She watercolors gems so real that you could reach into the painting and touch them. Incredible! Unfortunately, she is moving across the country in September. She is now in the grueling process of moving of all her belongs to Washington state. She needed to thin out her stamp collection and happened to be talking about it. She discovered I make cards and promptly gave me almost everything she had in her bag! So, old stamps, yes, new stamps to me, definitely! I made a thank you card with the stamps she so generously gave me. It is the least I could do to say thank you with a handmade card.
