Easter Cupcakes

Hello All,

For today I am playing along with Cards in Envy, Crafty Creations, Creative with Stamps, Pause Dream Enjoy, Retro Rubber challenge blogs. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

This background was done by stamping eggs on the base. I really didn't like it so I added washi tape and really liked how it turned out.
Above: Details of the bunny cupcakes by Stampendous. They were just too cute not to use. The sentiment is a retired stamp from SU. Left/Below: These cupcakes are too cute showing them separated. I especially like the green cupcake with its ears jetting out from the card. Right/Bottom: A look at the double Z card from above.

Pink, White, and Blue

Hello All,

For today I will be playing along with The Paper Players and Cupcake Inspiration challenges. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

The patterned paper was the inspiration for much of this design. The silver embossed dots was the inspiration for the silver embossed flower and the dotty side border; also in silver.
Above: The flower's color was done by using waterbased ZIG markers and an aqua pen. By pulling the color from the outside in it creates an ombre effect. Left/Below: The flower looks like it has outer and inner petals. I used the same ombre technique with the inner flower. Right/Bottom: The twine is tied on the side because I thought distracted from the sentiment. Still, it conforms to The Paper Players sketch.

Mallard Duck Watercolor

Hello Everyone,

Today starts a new challenge at The Male Room. Our challenge theme for the next coming weeks is all about watercolor! You can choose objects, themes, and/or phrases that pertain to our theme. We want to see your clear interpretation of this theme. Just remember, to keep it masculine. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

I am pretty sure this no line watercolor. All I did was plop the stamp down on my MISTI and colored it. Next, I used waterbased ZIG markers on watercolor paper, I colored the stamp and then brought it down. I did this about a million times πŸ˜‰to get the desired result.

This is my husband's Fathers Day card. Ever since I have known him he has loved the mallard. Why? I have no idea. All I know is it brings him joy, and that is why there is a gigantic mallard on the cover.

A detailed image of our mallard. All the variegated colors are what makes this so beautiful. Look at the water; so many pretty colors.

Hello PINspirational Friends,

I am so happy to have you here today. We have a new challenge at PINspirational! But before I get to the challenge here is my card for today, enjoy!

This card is all about Spring weather and how it can be so unpredictable. For instants, the clouds and sun showing how weather can change so quickly during Springtime. The flowers in the boot.... Well just look at the PINspiration. However, one element I do like are the clouds on the boot. I feel it brings the entire design together.

Monogram

Hello All,

For today I am playing along with City Crafter Challenge blog. Their challenge this time is the good ole' Monogram! Here is my card for today, enjoy!

The background comes from a foil negative of a preprinted background.
I used the Anna Griffen 'Mink' to the background. Her kit comes with pre-printed images ready to be foiled.
I have the positive image for a later project.
Above: When I got married I changed my initials, which in turn, changed my monogram. That was a bummer since I thought my premarital letters were so pretty. My married monogram, well I must say was less appealing. That is until I made this card. I love the mixed fonts of 'S'. It once again looks pretty and I am glad I did this exercise.  Below/Left: Using the negative (or waste) area gives this card the opportunity to see right through it. The shadow effect is so strikingly pretty. Bottom/Right: A close-up shot of my monogram. I used craft foam behind the scripted 'S' to pop up and stand out from the rest of the letters.

Challenges Entered:
City Crafter Challenge: Week 404: M- is for Monogram

Well, that should do it for me!! Thank you so much for stopping by and do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. We will see you soon. Take care and happy stamping.

Roses are Rainbow?

Hello All,

For today I will be playing along with Twofer Card Challenge. This is my first time participating for Twofer. I am pretty sure I followed all the rules 😊. So without further ado, here is my card for today, enjoy.

The stamp I used is a rose background from Peddler's Pack. I wanted the rainbow to be whimsical and playful but still getting the seriousness of the message. The other card I stamped the image and embossed in white. My water brush and waterbased color markers did the rest of the work.
The camo effect was done by embossing the stamp in white and then used a water-based marker and an aqua pen to color it in. Die cut the letters and popped them up using two layers of craft foam. I thought the black banner was the perfect touch.
This version was done simply by coloring the image with Copic markers. I cut out a slice of the image and die cut 'together' and stamped 'forever'. I laid the negative strip with the die cut word back where I originally cut it and carefully placed the sentiment in its exact spot. The effect I was going for was by visually connecting the image through the sentiment. I think this is well demonstrated by looking at the letters 'g', 'e', and 't'.
This is what the stamp from Peddler's Pack looks like:
One word: stunning!
Challenges Entered:
Twofer Card Challenge: Challenge #3- Blossoms

I was all set and ready to go with the 'blossoms' challenge when I suddenly asked myself, 'What exactly is the difference between a flower and a blossom?' (please don't laugh I seriously had no idea.) So I looked it up and found that a blossom is a flower that grows on a tree or a bush. With that new knowledge, I went along with my original plan; I started stamping roses which are rather thorny but do grow on a bush!!

Well, that should do it for me!! Thank you so much for stopping by and do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. We will see you soon. Take care and happy stamping.
