.
Above: The flower bouquets were cut from patterned paper and placed on a blank blue cardstock front. Left/Below: A detailed shot of the fresh flower blooms. Some layering was done for dimension. Right/Bottom: I had a few blooms that were not used so I decided to pay attention to the inside of the card too!!

 Challenges Entered:
The Card Concept: #91- Blossoms in Blue
CAS(E) this Sketch: CTS #269

Other then a Card

Hello Everyone,

A new challenge at The Male Room. Our challenge theme for the next coming weeks is all about well... not cards! You can create anything apart from a card. That could be a scrapbook page, painting, 3d art, or in my case, mixed media. I am not too good at it yet but I am working on it. I am very curious how you will interpret this theme. Just remember, to keep it masculine. Here is my card... or NOT a card for today, enjoy!

If you look closely you will see three lightbulbs hanging from a wire. I tried to make it work to no avail, so plan B! Cover it with my leftover embossing paste and then squish (yes, squish) some Fab Scraps into the paste. Not too bad (I guess).
____________

ATG- except a card
__________

I had wax paper on hand to squish the Fab Scraps into the paste and to my surprise, I found that the wax paper pulled up a lot of the paste. Bummer, but wait, again not too bad.
I really do enjoy this sentiment squished into the embossing paste.
Well, that should do it for me. If you haven't already done so, hop on over to The Male Room to see other inspirational cards by our talented design team. It is surely going to spark some ideas and then feel free to join our challenge. Looking forward to seeing you!! Until then, take care and happy stamping!

Pets

Hello Everyone,

Today I am going to be playing along with Addicted to CAS, CASology, and Twofer Card Challenge. I chose my pet to be a fish; more about that later but first I would like to share my cards with you, enjoy!

Here we are showing two of my cards created using the same fish stamp.
This stamp reminded me goldfish and a beta fish.
___________________________________

Above: Lots of white space for this little loner. Some betas do not interact well with others. That is why I left alone in the vastness of white and some bubbles. Left/Below: I think the sentiment for this card is so fitting. These fish are loners and sometimes loners can seem like they are wondering. When in fact, they are just carving their own route in life. Right/Bottom: Some betas can be outright gorgeous. I believe it to be the case for the Japanese Fighting fish. The bright colors they adorn are stunning.

___________________________________

Above: The everyday goldfish stuck in a bowl on the kitchen counter. The 'bubbles' are confetti that I found on the floor of a craft store. I was so excited to see them that I picked them right up. Yes, funny looks. Left/Below: I am told that fish have a memory lasting only eight seconds. That is why I picked this sentiment for this card. For me, most birthdays go to The Land of Good Intentions and then remembering and forgetting again. Right/Bottom: We have all seen them, the lonely fish with one lonely plant in the bowl and poor fish desperately trying to get any privacy that that plant could offer. Well, at least that is the story that is in my head.

Challenges Entered:

When I was a teenager I wasn't allowed to have any pets. Why? Well, my dad despised dogs and I am highly allergic to cats. A rodent didn't appeal to me or Dad, but we both thought fish would be a good idea. So we get all the supplies and the fish. We always had three of them in the ten-gallon tank but two always seemed to survive together, Ferdi and Shortz. I believe these fish lived for three years and Shortz grew to be as long as a toothbrush. They survived through multiple room reorganizations which, that alone should have killed them. They stuck together till the end when Shortz died, Ferdi was a day or two behind. I have always said when I croak all the fish that have died on my watch will be in the Big Pond in the sky. Who knows?! One thing is for certain, Ferdi and Shortz will be the first to greet me.  Good or bad I am still trying to decide.

Well, that should do it for me!! Thank you so much for stopping by and do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. We will see you soon. Take care and happy stamping.

Blessed

Hello All,

For today I will be playing along with Inspired by All the Little Things. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

Lots and lots of layers, color and texture make this card so pretty and feminine.
The pastel panel is something I colored but was not too impressed with it on its own.
But together with the other flowers and embellishments, it seems to quite cohesive.

A detail shot showing the cluster of flowers, sentiment, and enamel dots.
The three enamel dots in the center of the flowers allows for a bit more dimension where it is needed most.
Challenges Entered:
Inspired by All the Little Things: #83- Featuring Cat Craig

Well, that should do it for me!! Thank you so much for stopping by and do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. We will see you soon. Take care and happy stamping.

Black & White

Hello All,

For today I am playing along with Just Us Girls challenge blog. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

Mesmerizing isn't it!
This figure-ground technique I learned in college.
The swirl is an added fun effect for this technique.
As stated above, the sentiment is opposite of the background.
without the vellum the sentiment got a bit lost.
Toning down the background with vellum allows then 'hey' sentiment to pop!

Challenges Entered:
Just Us Girls: Trend Week #436- Black and White Stripes

Some of you may have noticed that I have been MIA for awhile. A lot has been happening which has prevented me from crafting. I will just go into one of the events. Well, I got into a pretty bad car crash. Everyone is okay and no one was taken to the hospital but still rattled me and really messed up my car. I have bruises and am very sore; along with a stuffy head cold but all is okay and this too shall pass.

Well, that should do it for me!! Thank you so much for stopping by and do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. We will see you soon. Take care and happy stamping.
