Christmas in July

Hello Again Y'all!

There are many blogs out there that want a Christmas card in July. Well okay, but I just can't seem to wrap my arms around Christmas this time of year. However, I should! Christmas will be here in no time. I am already seeing Christmas merchandise in stores!! Yikes!
With that said, I am going to be playing along with Sunday Stamps, Anyhoo, here is my card for today, enjoy!

The stained glass look of the partridge and the pear tree seemed to
be perfect for Sunday Stamps challenge. It was stamped in black, embossed in silver, and colored using Distress Oxide Inks and an aqua pen.
Above: The layout is from a past sketch challenge I saved on Pinterest. I thought it was perfect for this card.  Below/Left: Notice the absence of plain cardstock. I wanted to play with patterned paper and visual texture and still achieve a beautiful design. Bottom/Right: Looking at this panel directly it reminds me of a window panel you would see in a church.

Challenges Entered:
Sunday Stamps: Tranquil Cottage Colors- SSC183

Well, that should do it for me!! Thank you so much for stopping by and do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. I hope you all have a fantastic day and lots of good crafting vibes headed your way.

Ledges

Hello everyone!

Today I will be playing along with The Paper PlayersAddicted to Stamps and More! and Sunday Stamps. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

This card reminds me of the fireplace in the house where I grew up.
Each stone was a different color but in this case, I decided to use the background of my card as negative space. The white on white leaves only texture and lets those cactuses pop!
Lots and lots of white space highlight the colors of the cactus.
The colors were inspired by Sunday Stamps.
There are two areas where I lifted the 'stones' to create a shelf for the cactus.
The cactuses were fussy cut from some patterned paper.

Yellow Birthday Card

Hello All,

Today I will be playing along with Inkspirational, and as promised, here is my second card using the same colors for Just Add Ink; this time using yellow as my primary background color. I think it is cheerful, festive, and not pastel, unlike my last post. So here we go; my card for today, enjoy!

The background was stamped in cheery yellow. The flowers were colored using watercolored pencils and an aqua pen. The sentiment is from a paper pack in the exact colors for the color challenge.

The sentiment panel was outlined using
a brown stamp pad and dragging it along the edges.

House with a View

Hello Everyone,

Today I am going to be playing along with The Color Throwdown, Time Out, Cards in Envy, and Inspired By card challenges. So, here is my card for today, enjoy!

This is amazingly a one layer card.
I used the masking technique to create this scene.
I used Prismacolor pencils to color and
blend the blues, tans, and gray that created this beach scene.
I wanted to depict a weatherworn house with most
of its paint stripped off by the salt water and wind abrasion.

Time Out Challenge: Challenge #114
Inspired By Challenge: Beach Day
Cards in Envy: On the Beach

My computer is not very happy with me today. So I'm doing this for the first time on my mobile phone. I will get better pictures as soon as my computer and I make up. Thank you so much for dropping by look forward to hearing your comments take care to have a great day.
Okay, I am now on my computer and I must say we had quite the fight. I had to restart it three times and ran a ton of scans. Everything turned out all right so I guess I can surmise it was in a very bad mood.

With all that said I hope you all have a fantastic day and lots of good crafting vibes headed your way.

I stippled the kraft paper to look like sand.
It took a bit of time but I think it has paid off.
A play on words with our Christmas theme, kind of.

Well, thank you again for taking time out of your busy day to visit my corner of the internet. I do hope you will join us at (PIN)spirational and play along. Until then take care and we will see you soon!
