Oceans of Joy

Hello All,

For today I am entering this card into two challenges. One challenge is I am entering is Less is More. I hope this is CAS. It has tons of white space and minimal decoration.. The challenge however was to use sprays/mists in the cards design. More about that later. I used two spray colors- blue for the color and silver for the shine. The second challenge I am entering is CAS(E) this Sketch. Again very minimal and thought the two would be perfect together.. Well here it is.. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.. Enjoy!

The aquatic theme is fun and whimsical.
Using minimal color and keeping it clean. (I hope)
Simple fish and seaweed graphics from

Detail showing the focal image. You can see just a
bit of shine but it was hard to capture.
Entering the following challenges:
CAS(E) this Sketch: CTS #139
Less is More: Week 239 'Lucky Dip'

    "Less is More"

I really liked how this turned out.  It is so fun and cheery perfect for any occasion. So here is how I did it..

How to:

  1. Cut and scored white CS to an A2 size card. set aside.
  2. Die cut scallops using scrap paper.
  3. Lightly misted the die cut with re-positional spray mount and placed it on a piece of CS.
  4. Added mist colors blue and silver and removed the mask.
  5. Die cut the sprayed image into a circle and added it to the card base
  6. Stamped fish and seaweed then fussy cut and added it to the card base.
  7. Stamped sentiment and cut into a strip and added it to the card bse.
I hope you enjoyed your stay and looking forward to next time here at TheGrandStampede. Thank you for stopping by and now I have to go to the mall and pick out a necklace with my daughter. Take care and don't forget to leave a comment..

All the best,
Shawna

  1. The spritzed scallops are the perfect background for this fab little scene. And it's certainly CAS enough for our challenge.
    Thanks for sharing with us.

  2. Both cards are beautiful. But the second card is one of those enchanted cards. So suddenly I was an old library, where the librarian worm is also a wizard. He knows what I need most, took one of his a look ... and he has for me right book and the appropriate an incantation that would change my life for the better!
Shawn, thank you for this card! It is simply amazing!
