Hello Everyone,
For today I am writing on behalf of
Make My Monday challenge blog. For this week our theme is:
CATS!
For me, I am not a huge fan of cats.. For one, they send me to the hospital with a single scratch. Their dander is enough to send my body in a tizzy (asthma attacks, hives, swollen eyes) you name it!! So when this theme was introduced I decided to portray a cat the way I see them.. Plus, this is an excellent Halloween card.. Enjoy!
|
This card changes as the light around it changes.
In this photo the light is not the image allowing only the eyes to pierce
through the card. Look harder you will find the sentiment and hints of its whiskers. |
|
Theme this week:
Cats |
|
This photo is with the card exposed to light. You can clearly define the nose, whiskers, and the sentiment. But I do feel you have to get past those eyes first before discovering the remainder of the elements.. Okay, whisper 'hello' in a creepy tone. That is what this cat is saying. |
|
Cats and their piercing eyes! They glow and sometimes you have the feeling they are conspiring against you; just waiting for the right moment to pounce! |
|
I wanted the sentiment to blend into the card;
like the cat, it needed to be discovered. |
First I want to start by saying I am sorry to all those cat lovers out there. I know some of you think of them as children, and rightfully so. They can be wonderful, healing, and humorous companions. They are truly beautiful animals but for someone who can get very sick in their presence, well, I have developed a disdain for them. I see a cat and I scram! I see a cat and think about where is my inhaler. I see a cat and wish I could pet its soft fur. Lucky cat lovers!

ReplyDeleteOooooo, Shawna--such a mysterious card and I love it!! I used to be super allergic to cats, then I moved out of the Los Angeles area into the tree filled mountains of the Pacific Northwest (now I'm in the mountains of North Idaho), now, it's the trees that get me sneezing and itching!! Go figure!! But, I digress....This is a Fabulous card and it's beautiful!! Thank you for bringing this to our horror themed Halloween challenge this month at Our Creative Corner!! XOXO-Shari OCC DT
