For tonight I writing for (PIN)spirational to let you know we have a new challenge! Here is my inspiration card, enjoy!
The resolution for this digi stamp is superb! Easy to work with white or transparent options. |
What a great card, huh? Well it wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for our sponsor! |
Our challenge for these next two weeks will be a photo challenge. It is up to you to interpret it anyway you'd like. |
The entire card was colored using PrismaColor pencils. My hand still hurts. |
Sponging the edges of the card gives it a boundary and a sense of dreaminess. |
Detail showing the magnolias. |

When I was a little girl, and I mean little, I lived on Magnolia Drive in New Jersey, USA. I don't remember too much, but what I do remember was every spring I would see tons of magnolia trees lining our street in full bloom. I remember loving how pretty our neighborhood looked. I remember not liking the smell too much, but the color was incredible, for about two weeks. After that, all the petals fall off and it looks as if snow had just fallen to the ground. So as I was making this card I was reminiscing about being a child and how magical things were back then. Childhood, what a wonderful experience!
I do hope you will join us at (PIN)spirational. Until then take care and see you there!
All the best,
Shawna

Beautiful Shawna. I had a huge magnolia in my other house - I planted it as a 2 foot high twig and 27 years later had to leave its stunning blooms behind when we moved. I loved it and this card brought back all those memories of watching the buds appear and waiting for the flowers to burst open. x
