Happy Camper'ish

Hello Readers, 

For today I will be playing along with Just Us Girls and Freshly Made Sketches. Here is my card for today, enjoy.

The window is covered in acetate.

The white leaves represent camping in the woods.
There, it is a beautiful happy day.

while some of the acetate is reflecting light. 

I gently closed the card to allow the shadows come through the window.
The color of the camper has the feeling of being bit aged.
But, like most campers it is still going on amazing adventures.

Left: I used glossy accents to adhere the white elements to the backside of the acetate leaving minimal glue marks.
Right: A picture of our well loved camper. I used 110lb. cardstock, distress markers, and an aqua pen to color the camper. I like the vintage effect it gave me.

On our way home from our camping trip this tire decided to blow out. YIKES! Right around lunch time and the gas light was on.. Luckily, there was a small business with a dirt parking lot, shaded trees, and lots of room for my husband to work. While he was fixing the flat I got lunch together for everyone; spread out my emergency blanket and had a picnic under the shady pine. Crown, our dog, was tied to a tree so he could explore and not be in the car whining. My husband got done in record time! But storing the flat proved to be challenging. We looked and looked but nothing worked until.... DUH.... Lightbulb; strap it to the camper! So with full bellies, the new tire and old tire on the camper, we were off to get some well needed gas.
