Today is a new challenge at The Male Room. And it couldn't have come at a better time. More about that later- here is my card for today, enjoy!
This card is going right to my son after his party. I am going to sneak away for a bit and add a sweet message of encouragement. He is doing great and wanted him to know I am proud of him. |

Challenge #47 |

A very bold sentiment that go along perfectly with the bold black circles. |
I traced some of my circle dies in pencil then started filling in the circles with dots. There is no definitive line for the dotty circles it is our mind putting the pieces together. |
My son's 'harvest' party is tomorrow afternoon. I was the one who volunteered to head up the craft station ideas. He is in third grade and wanted his class to look outside themselves for awhile and thank someone who they admire. So naturally I decided the craft must be to make a thank you card for anyone they choose. This is my 'example' card for them. And it just so happens to double as my inspiration card for The Male Room. I wanted to keep it easy enough for them to relate to the project. I may have gone a bit overboard with the dots but I love it.. I think the kids will understand that all you need are markers, paper, and a bit of imagination to create an amazing appreciation card. I will try to remember to take pics of their cards and post them. So excited to see what they come with.
All the best,
Shawna
I don't think you've gone overboard on the dots at all! I think this is a brilliant card. Love the dotty circles and then the bold black outlines and sentiment. Fabulous work. xxxx
ReplyDeletePS I think they'll have a great time!
This is a brilliant card. I love those colours, and it looks stunning despite the fact that you've used nothing but markers. I'm sure the kids in your son's class will enjoy creating their own versions too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic card with dots you made :-))

This card is awesome! I had to stop by and see how you made those colorful circles. :)
ReplyDeleteLove this! So brilliantly eye catching and fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat boy wouldn't LOVE this card? GREAT colours, dots and the idea to use it for the craft "think outside the box".
