Busy day today but I wanted to carve out some time to post this card. So, for today I will be playing along with Seize the Birthday, Double D Challenges and The Card Concept. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

| A lovely card using the Rose Wonder stamp set by Stampin' Up!. The center of the flower was done using a combination darker pink alcohol markers and then blending it in with a lighter color. |
The rose was stamped on white lustre cardstock then heat embossed. And because alcohol markers are translucent the shimmer shines right through the color. I also used metallic copper embossing powder for the background and silver dots with silver lustre. Together they prove to look so pretty and elegant.

| I dry embossed the copper background by applying VersaMark Ink directly on the embossing folder. This allows the debossed part of the card ready for copper embossing powder. I then took my black inkpad directly onto the card that hit all the embossed areas. |
Below/Left: The copper background is so pretty against the silver dots and the magnificent rose. Bottom/Right: The sentiment was chosen for its message but also for its font. I think it fits this design so well. The black it seems sets off brings out all the colors on the card. So pretty.

Now that my daughter is reading and roaming the internet (safely) she now frequents my blog and sees what I am writing to all of you. No problem I say... Nothing to hide... It is just me babbling about my life events. So this to my little voyeur who checks up on me every now and then... Know that I love you and now it is time to get off the computer and tell me how wonderful I am... heheee.

Love your beautiful rose and that bg is FABULOUS!!!!!! The soft rose against the copper is just simply great!!! I really like that bg sooooooo much!!!! And I agree with the font of the sentiment being perfect and the white on black works wonderfully!!!! Oh, this is such a great card!!!! Absolutely LOVE it!!!!
