Hello, and welcome back to TheGrandStampede!
It is that time again at MHK Designs. Our new April release is out and I am here to share the new 'Dear Dad' digi stamp set. Here is my card for today, enjoy!
|
This is my favorite image from the set. Why? Since when do we READ newspapers? My dad wasn't a big paper reader but I know plenty of fathers that were. I can't remember their faces because it was always vailed behind..... well.... a newspaper! |

And now, let's talk about how to get this new set OR the entire release for FREE! Here's what you'll need to do...
Mynn will be choosing comments randomly from all these places after the release is over, and the authors of those comments will be our winners! So, the best way to win is to comment every day!

I also used MHKDesigns patterned paper to 'color' in the black part of the image and sentiment. The thought process is the same with digital crafting as a die cut machine. Cut out the word and discard the positive area of the word. This leaves you with a negative 'word' hole in your paper. Put a piece of patterned paper behind it and the word is now filled in. Same goes with digital crafting. Take out the black areas and behind it will reveal the pattern behind. Clear as mud? good! Should I do a video tutorial? |
|
I think cropping out the man's faces allows your imagination to see who you want to see. In my case, it is my best friends father... Too funny the memories you recall. |
