For this card, I used the ocean theme as my inspiration. The seascape was copied and mirrored for a symmetrical scene. |

I added three enamel dots matching the colors of the ocean scene. The black border around the swirly sentiment blocks it in very nicely! |
While I was coloring this scene it quickly came to me a set of children's books by Ruth Galloway I used to read to my children. Below, I have attached the front and back cover of one book of her books.

Now we are back on land with another card.
In keeping with the inspiration photo, I decided to keep the colors soft and to a minimum. |

I added some vintage charm with a lace stamp at the corner of the card. The sentiment panel is bordered with black which coordinates with the black strip on the side of the card. |
I added a bit of texture by coloring the little blue flowers and adding tiny flowers in her basket. Again keeping it soft and beachy. |

Love the basket on the bicycle.

great idea. The lace stamp does
add interest to it also.
