For today I am honored to have been asked by Inkspirational to be their guest designer for this challenge! Thank you so much for this opportunity. So without further ado, here is my card for today, enjoy!
I really do enjoy the browns, yellows, and greens this card has to offer. I used the green and yellow around the card for a bit of color. _______________________ |

The outline sentiment is light and airy and doesn't distract from the overall design of the card. In fact, I think it only adds to its charm. |
The pineapple was embossed then sponged using Distress Ink. I wiped the excess away and it seemed to glow. |
Nothing was working and was not impressed how the pineapple turned out. So with no stress, I started playing around with the design. As it started to form I really started to like it, and the more I played the more I liked it. Now I can safely say it is one of my favorite card designs. I like the way the pineapple seems to glow. I embossed it and sponged the color over the embossing and wiped off the excess. Then I added the crackle stamp then started sponging around the pineapple going darker closer to the edges. That is what gives the pineapple its glow. Last was the sentiment, and this outline stamp from Stamplorations was perfect.
Well, that should do it for me!! I want to thank Inkspirational once again for being such fantastic hosts. I do hope you join their challenge. For me, it was great fun and I am sure it will be for you too. Take care and until next time, take care and happy stamping!!
All the best,
Shawna
What a gorgeous card! Everything looks quite subtle and organic - not at all forced - the colours blend beautifully together and the sentiment has presence without dominating the card. Very cleverly done. Thanks for being our wonderful GD at Inkspirational.
ReplyDeleteWell done for keeping going at it even though you didn't like it at first. I love the depth and richness of the colours and how the pineapple really does glow. It is wonderful having you as GD x
