I have to tell ya, it is a good thing I'm not dictating this post. Why? Well, I lost my voice and am hoarse. My throat feels like I can breathe out fire and it hurts to cough.
However, that didn't stop me from entering a few challenges. Challenges I am entering are Fusion, Inkspirational, CAS(E) this Sketch, and Just Us Girls. I am very happy how this card turned out and each challenge had a part of its design. Here is my card for today, enjoy!
The gold flex came from a metallic finish that was applied to the stamp and misted with water. The result is magnificent. |
How to'ish- I used a gloss cardstock for this project.
1. I added multiple layers of alcohol ink to the paper; by using water and a straw to blow the ink around for movement and color distribution.
2. To me, after it was dry it seemed flat. So I added some Chipped Sapphire Distress ink then sprayed lots of water on the paper.
3. When the ink was still wet I added the gold metallic wax finish to the stamp and misted it with water.
4. Finally, I stamped the image on the wet paper. I let the water sit for a bit and then lifted the stamp.

I adore that background, so much texture and that gold really add to the effect. The simple flower was a great addition, just a touch of interest but still allowing the background to shine. Thanks for joining Ink
ReplyDeletePopped in to say that I think your technique is marvellous. I love alcohol inks but would never have thought to mix them with water.
