The entire time while creating, editing, and now typing I had the Beatles song titled 'Hey Bulldog' stuck in my head. My earworm, of course, is the chorus, 'hey bulldog!'. The ending is what really cracks me up when we hear howling and barking made by the Beatles. So, here is my card for today, enjoy. Oh, I forgot to mention I will be playing along with City Crafter Challenge, Seize the Birthday, Naughty or Nice Challenge and Try Stamping on Tuesday.
The bulldog was stamped on watercolor paper and then covered by masking fluid. When finished with the background I just rubbed off the fluid. |
There are a ton of colors underneath the Black Soot Distress Ink. They do seem to show through when picking up the ink with water. |

ReplyDeleteI just love this card, the bulldog would cuss like a pirate. Thanks for joining us at City Crafter.
ReplyDeleteCrown is a beauty, thank heaven he was rescued :)
Well the bulldog is certainly not a cutesie kind of dog, but you know, in their own way they are cute! I like your sentiment!! Thanks for joining us at STB!
ReplyDeleteBeatles and a crazy dog, what's not to love! Love the background and the sentiment, too! Thanks for joining us at Naughty or Nice Challenges!
ReplyDeleteGreat card, Shawna! I haven't used masking liquid before, but your card shows how effective it can be! The darn stuff is expensive, but a little probably goes a long way. Cutting out masks can be a pain, so masking liquid makes a lot of sense. I think your dog is super cute, and your background is PERFECT for him. Thanks for sharing your talents with us at Try Stampin' on Tuesday!!! -Donna
ReplyDeleteWhat a fab card, I love his sentiment and makes me smile... sometimes naughty beats nice and in this case - naughty triumphs. Loving the background which goes great with the attitude. Crown is also a handsome chappie and looks very happy now x
ReplyDeleteYour card is wonderful! I love that background! Thank you so much for sharing it with us at Naughty or Nice Challenge! Cyndi, DT
