For today I will be playing along with Freshly Made Sketches, AAA Cards, and The Paper Players. The sketch, technique, and themes inspired this one card. Well, here is my card for today, enjoy.
The splotch behind the gem was done by sprinkling Brusho's over the cardstock area and then applied water one drop at a time. I had to make sure the water would splash to get the desired effect. |
The sentiment consists of two different stamp sets, one by Technique Tuesday and other Stampin' Up!. I think it turned out very well. |
This is the iridescent gem showing its spectrum of colors. |

This is a gem for sure! Love the spash of color behind your image! Glad you joined us at FMS!
ReplyDeleteShawna... I wonder if you used a speciality paper on the diamond. It truly glitters differently depending on the angle of your picture! LOVE it! And the "splotch"... wow! It is just perfect... I will have to try with the Brushos. And the sentiment is one of my all time favorites... I catch myself saying it to people all the time. Thanks so much for joining The Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteThat splotch effect is one I've not tried with Brusho but the way you've got it to splatter and sploosh is fabulous. The gem is amazing, since it glitters and glints (almost) like the real thing. Great combination of challenges too. Thank you for joining The Paper Players again this week.
ReplyDeleteThis card is gorgeous! I love that diamond and the splotches! So pretty and a great take on the sketch! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!

ReplyDeleteThis is such an eye-catching card - so bold and creative! Love the use of iridescent paper for the gem and the two stamp sets work very well together for the sentiment! Thanks for playing along with us at AAA Cards!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing....I need some Brusho lessons from you because for the life of me, I cannot get the effect I want from them! This is fabulous! The gem is amazing on its own, but with the "splash" behind it, it's over the top! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Paper Players this week!
