Today I am going to the library. Well, not literally the library. I am going to be playing along with The Library Challenge. I really enjoyed this book as a child and now as an adult, I shared the story with my kiddos! So naturally, I was inspired to create a card using the cover art for a card. So, here we go, enjoy!

| Above: I wanted to keep the objects and sentiment 'colorless'. Like the inspiration cover, the mermaid seems to be second from the color of the water. Left/Below: But of course, I had to something not to wild so I grabbed my metallic marker and Wink of Stella and colored our mermaid. The effect doesn't really take effect until you place it into the light. Right/Bottom: This is the mermaid not in the light. A bit of diffraction, you can see the hair is a bit colored and the Wink of Stella made the star, bikini, and tail a bit darker. |
