For today I am playing along with The Card Concept. Spring has sprung, that is for sure. Trees are bright green, lilacs are out. It looks so hopeful outside. That is why I created this card after a brutal Winter, Spring is here to offer hope for a nice Summer. At least that is what I want to believe. Here is my card today, enjoy!!

| I made these boots about three years ago. I keep little bits-and-pieces that I didn't use right away. All I did to them was to wash the tips and strap with a bit more orange. This way, it coordinates better with the flowers. |

| Above: The wood grain background is designer paper but I thought it needed a bit of distressing. So I sponged along the edges and some in the middle to create a more outside look. Below/Left: The die cut flowers were colored with Zig markers and an aqua brush. Then tucking them inside the boots only on the bottom. This way the top can flare out for more dimension. Bottom/Right: These boots are sandwiched with a bit of cotton. I learned this technique by Vicky D and thought it was genius. |
