Hello Everyone,
I am back from vacation and feeling so refreshed. Had some time to settle down and getting back into crafting. So, for today I will be playing along with The Paper Players. I love, love, love color challenges and this one is no exception. I am also playing along with NBUS. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

I just celebrated my birthday and got a gift from my Aunt. She lives right on Lake Michigan and always mentions the sailboat races happening in the summertime. It is a very pretty sight to see. I thought this card would be a perfect thank you to her for such a perfect gift!

I decided on a slimline card because it gave a 'panoramic view' of the boats. |

The sailboats stamp set is from Inkadinkado. I stamped the sailboats in very light chalk pigment ink and left it to dry overnight. The next morning I started coloring the boat using Prismacolor pencils using The Paper Players color scheme. |
Challenges Entered:
Thank you so much for stopping by and I do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. Lots of good crafting vibes headed your way. I hope you all have a fantastic day and please stay safe and healthy.
Shawna your sailboats are awesome - so colourful and full of movement! They remind me of Moana's boat in the Disney movie of the same name. I'm sure your aunt will love it too! Glad you've had a relaxing holiday and made it into the gallery in time! Thanks for playing along with my colour challenge over at The Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! What a bright and cheerful card, Shawna! These boats are amazing...and so are your coloring skills! Thank you so much for playing with The Paper Players this week!

ReplyDeleteI love your sailing boats Shawna (and must have a look to see if I can find this fabulous stamp!) You coloured them so beautifully and I love the choice of a slimline card to really show them off. Vicky x
ReplyDeleteHi Shawna! It's my first visit to your blog and your work is amazing! The coloring on your sailboats and composition is sensational! LOVE this card.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, Shawna, this would be the winner at PP if I were the judge! Your card stands out a mile in the galleries! I thought it was from a magazine or printed on the computer!! The coloring and design are brilliant! I want to be on Lake Michigan NOW and I'm sure your Aunt will keep this card forever! Keep well and thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteThese sailboats are really cute! Great coloring!
ReplyDeleteThe "big" race here in the UK is the Isle of Wight yacht race, well series of races over a week-end. Anyone living on or near the solent (stretch of water between the island of Great Britain and it's little sibling the Isle of Wight) knows well the type of scene you have created so wonderfully here. Your Aunt must have been so excited to receive this card it is bound to have evoked many memories of the races near her. x
