Hello Everyone,
Today I will be playing along with The Paper Players challenge. Here is my card for today, enjoy!
This stamp reminds me of the Mary Tyler Moore show. I know I am aging myself but the end of the opening song it says 'We're going to make it after all!' (Sorry for the earworm). Anyway I see her in the big city trying to find her way. That is why I picked such an encouraging sentiment. |
The sketchy quality from both stamps are so beautiful together. Amazingly, The girl and the NYC skyline are stamps from two differnent companies. |
I also wanted to play on some color and line weights. The lady was stamped multiple times to create a more defined black image. Even though the skyline is one stamp I used a gradiant stamping technique to create darker lines up front and lighter lines as you move into the city. I also used color to create a sense of depth. A darker gray was used in the foreground while a light gray wash was used in the back ground.

Can you tell me where you got the NYC skyline stamp from? This card is just stunning! Thank you.

Hello Nancy!! Not ignoring you just took a few days to track down the NYC image. It is by Technique Tuesday called New York. However, I don't think they make it anymore. Maybe used on ebay or etsy. They do however have a scene similar to the NYC on their website. Check it out.
