Getting ready for Winter

Hello Everyone!

I have acquired a few new followers this last couple of days and, to you, I want to give you a warm welcome to TheGrandStampede. My hope is you find your visits inspirational and, most of all, enjoyable.

For today I writing in behalf of House of Cards challenge blog; we are now about to enter a new month which means a new challenge.

This is also a month of many changes. For instance, trees start to prepare for their winter slumber. They try to conserve as much energy as possible by shedding it leaves. Hooray for us, because we get to see Natures splendor at work. Leaves change to a magnificent rainbow of color; even the sky is extra crisp blue. I feel it's showing us its best before it is covered up for the next several months.

So what on Earth does this have to do with House of Cards? A color challenge of course!!  Here is my design team card for The House of Cards in hopes it will provide some inspiration for you to link up and play along.

Fall is about color and texture. I used multiple layers of element using different paper types and media to form this colorful fall card.

House of Cards

House of Cards: Color Challenge

Perfect Pearls by Ranger was used to paint the leaves, wheat, and decorative swirls. Adding the bronze element behind the maple leaf adds to its texture and sheen.
Sunday Stamps challenge blog was the perfect jumping off spot for this design. Leaving the bottom relatively blank draws you to the intricate elements above. The baroque background paper has a velvety texture only adding to its texture.
Details showing the layers of dimension.
This card was so much fun to make. My hope is to give you some incentive to hop on over to the House of Cards and join us this month. See you there!

Entering the following challenges:
Sunday Stamps: SSC110- Its all about the sketch

That should do it for me! I want to thank you so much for stopping by today. I really do appreciate your visits.  If you are so inclined please leave a comment and let me know what you think. Take care and see you soon.

All the best,
Shawna
