Merry Lights

Hello All,

For today I am playing along with Merry Monday Challenge Blog and Addicted to Stamps and More. And somehow this card brings me a bit of stress... I will explain later but for now here is my card..

Colored the lights and its glow with PrismaColor pencils
then added Stickles glitter glue over top the colored lights.

Entering Challenge:

GRAB OUR BADGE!
Shiny lights twirled around the sentiment makes for
such a wonderful card. I felt it didn't need much more then gray background
at a funky angle.
Another example of how the lights 'twinkle'.
This card has tons of color but it is not-in-your-face colorful.
Perfect card for the mail. Flat with minimal embellishment.
This card was so fun to make! However, like I said it does cause a bit of stress. Why you ask? Well we have an artificial tree and it seems every year we run out lights! You know, at the very top you try to stretch the lights and you know it isn't going to work. UGH. So finally last year we didn't need lights! I almost fainted!! We have reached our max capacity at 18 strands of lights. Yes. 18! Which means a whole lot of untangling. Each strand is in it own bag which is good however at strand 10 your patience is getting a bit tested.. When all is said and done, wow it is pretty and so sparkly!

You will find one more post from me tonight introducing the new challenge at Make My Monday Challenge Blog. So until then take care and thank you for stopping by.

All the best,
Shawna

  2. Oh my gosh - I so understand your light dilemma. We struggle over lights every year. But your card is fabulous. Love how it turned out.

  5. Beautifully able to resolve the glow they give Christmas lights. It looks beautiful. The idea of the lights dress the word and not a Christmas tree is a very funny and cool.
