Rosey Excursion

Hello Readers,

For the first time I am entering Stamplorations- Theme & Sketch challenge. I really enjoyed the sketch for the month of June. So here is my card for today, enjoy.

I chose to feature the card in and out of the light. The black and gold PP is an excellent contrast to the luster of the pink PP. Also I feel the luster of the pink paper really brings out the rose.

The subtle pattern in the pink paper accentuates the focal image.
The black frame seems to perfect with this design. The rose is magnificent seeming to punch through the black frame. Nature has no boundaries, even when we try to put them in place.

As I write this I am soaking wet. My shorts and half my shirt are sticking to my skin. Why? Well, I need to take a shower and am waiting for the water to heat up. But why am I sitting here wet in the first place, you may ask? Well, here is my story.

The kids and I decided we should teach our dog, Crown, to come when called. So with treats in hand we went to the park. Sun was out and a gentle breeze made it a perfect day for such an activity. After a few successful tries he decides to venture away toward the river. He is a labrador, so course, why would he not want to go in the water.  So in he went along with my son. Luckily, it was not fast moving BUT it is a no human contact river. It is presently getting cleaned up, but in the meantime no human contact is allowed. As my dog and son are wading in the river.. Great! So, I call them out, immediately.

My direction was for my son to go right in the shower while I call the local groomer; which unbeknownst to me is closed on Sunday's. So it was up to me and my daughter to wash the dog. I think I got more wet then the dog. I couldn't figure out the hose or why it was leaking everywhere especially on me. The entire contents of the hose is currently out on the driveway waiting for me to roll it all back up. Perfect! As for Crown, he is laying outside right now drying off in the warm Michigan sun.

Life is good! Really it is... fun actually. But now I need to hop in shower and clean up from our excursion. Thank you so much for stopping by and reading my story. I do hope you have a great day and we will see you again at TheGrandStampede.

All the best,
Shawna
