Grateful Harvest

Hello Readers,

For today I am playing along with Addicted to CAS and The Paper Players. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

Very simple card of gratitude.
Fall is right around the corner, and what better way to say
show some gratitude to the ones we love.
The color palette from The Paper Players drove this simplistic design.
I like the angle of the pail of apples. I think it gives it movement and the image isn't so overbearing.
Detail showing the yellow twine attached to the sentiment.
I also tried to depict rust on the pail at the hinges and around the handle.
Because you can't gather apples in a nice shiny pail. Plus, it adds a bit of visual texture.
Challenges Entered:

Tonight the children's school is hosting a luau. Yes readers a tropical themed party! It is meant to kick off the school year with fun and games. Plus, there is a dunk the principal when you hit the target with a baseball.. My son dunked him last year lets see if he can do it this year!!  I'll keep you posted!

Well that is it for me. I hope you enjoyed your stay at my little kilobyte of the internet. We will see you soon! So until then take care and happy stamping!!

All the best,
Shawna

  1. Great CAS card, Shawna! You're right, the angled pail looks really dimensional. Not sure if it's the placement or your coloring, which is fantastic. Thanks for playing along with LeAnne's color challenge this week at the Paper Players.
