Poinsettia Dreams

Hello Crafty Friends!

It is that time again at MHK Designs. Our new October release is out and I am here to share the new 'Perfect Poinsettia' digi stamp set. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

A watercolor panel adorns this beautifully framed poinsettia.
The panel is raised up using some 'not so fun' fun foam
on its cards base.

Pulling heavyweight watercolor paper is no easy task for the printer.
My trick...
Print out the image on computer paper then place a piece of the heavy cardstock
on top of the computer paper image. Tape it down so it doesn't get caught in the printer.
(all four corners is fine)
Print again.
After heat setting your image you can now apply the water based color.

A detail of the poinsettia image. I did have inspiration for the design; click here to see.
I love the variegated colors on the leaves and a hint of blue for contrast.
