Shelves

Hello All,

For today I will be entering Inkspirational. Their vivid colors combined with rustic elements compelled me to enter this challenge at the last minute. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

I really like the visual balance of this card.
I took the yellow color from the inspiration and decided to
create a vase for the wispy grass plant.

Above: The paper comes from a DD pack. All I did was sponge Cracked Pichashio, Mermaid Lagoon on 3 of the 5 boards. Afterward, I distressed the edges with gray ink and pencil.  Below: The white shelf from the inspiration made a wonderful strip for my sentiment. It seems to anchor the card nicely. Bottom: The shell was stamped on patterned luster paper. It is the only element on the card that has shine.

Entering Challenges:
Inkspirational: Challenge #40- Photo

My daughter loves to write as much as I love to make cards! Naturally I signed her up to go to writing camp. lt is there the students went on field trips to local restaurants, sample their food, and write up a review about the establishment. One trip they visited a bakery shop and got to sample all they had to offer. Poor child 😉! Afterward, the baker asked them to design a donut (I saw it as free marketing advice) and the winning donut will be sold next week to the public. Well, my girl won!! He said her recipe was cost effective, simple ingredients, and yes, yummy. Here is her recipe:
A plain donut with caramel frosting topped with apples, walnuts, and a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar. WOW! Does that sound good! So if you happen to be in the neighborhood go on over to the local donut shop and order 'The Nutcracker' donut. It is sure to please.

Well, that should do it for me!! Thank you so much for stopping by and do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. We will see you soon. Take care and happy stamping.

All the best,
Shawna
