Scallops and Teal

Hello Everyone,

Today I am going to be playing along with the Color Throwdown and Freshly Made Sketches. This card is bold, visually graphic, and fresh looking.  Here is my card for today, enjoy!

The background is a stamp from Hero Arts. The ArtDeco pattern is just delicious.
For this card, I decided to color it using the palette from The Color Throwdown.
The sketch for FMS was intriguing. How do I create a card out of such a bold background?
I decided vellum was the answer.
It doesn't distract but dulls down the boldness just enough for other elements to stand out. This allows them to also become part of the design without being engulfed by all the busyness.
The black circle is eye-catching along with all the groovy embellishments. I decided not to center the 'thanks' sentiment over the circle. Why? It is because the sketch said to place the sentiment under the focal image. So I listened!

Challenges Entered:
Freshly Made Sketches: FMS340
The Color Throwdown: ctd496

Well, that should do it for me!! Thank you so much for stopping by and do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. We will see you soon. Take care and happy stamping.
