Peaceful Candle

Hello All,

For today I am entering challenges from Inkspirational. Here is my card for today. Enjoy!

This card is so peaceful during a season that can be awfully hectic.
Lots of layers and, although not intrusive, the piercing provides a subtle frame for the lantern.
It becomes an essential part of the design.
Another look at the piercing framing the beautiful lantern.
I added black strips to the back of the piercing.
This way they wouldn't be so lost on the card and be more visible.
I die cut the sentiment from glittery foam with adhesive back. I just placed it on the layers of holly which were diecut from various shades of green PP.
Challenges Entered:

Thank you so much for stopping by and I do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. I hope you all have a fantastic day and lots of good crafting vibes headed your way.

  1. Hi Shawna-this is a great example of paper piercing. Love how you have bulit up the layers here and that lovely soft glow around the candle. Thanks for joining Ink

  3. This is beautiful. Traditional and peaceful. And I do love the effect of both the layering and the piercing. Thanks for joining our challenge at Inkspirational!
