Fragmented Dragonfly

Hello All,

It has been a long time since I posted. A lot has happened, for one I quit my job so I will probably have more time to blog. We shall see how antsy I get. So for today, I am playing along with Mod Squad Challenge Blog. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

The background was created from the leftovers of a previous project.
We used a ton of paint creating landscapes and what was left on the table looked so pretty I picked it up with extra paper. I liked it so much I made a bunch of backgrounds!

The dragonfly and background were done at different times.
It just so happens I got the colors to coordinate perfectly!
The fractured die was diecut three times and stacked on top of each other.
I left some of the pieces stray at various depths for interest.

Because the background and die cuts make for quite an interesting palette the dragonfly needed space for itself. I decided to put a circle vellum die cut behind the dragonfly and its sentiment. Speaking of the sentiment, it was colored in using a combination of Prismacolor pencils and metallic markers.
Challenges Entered:

Thank you so much for stopping by and I do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. I hope you all have a fantastic day and lots of good crafting vibes headed your way.

  1. I Shawna-super card.
I just saw your comment on your blog and the stamp is from Verve...but they no longer are in business-they had the most beautiful sentiments-you may be able to get hold of them on ebay or something?
