Wonderful

Hello my CMHCD friends,

For today I am sharing our next challenge at Color My Heart Color Dare. You have a pick of at least three colors from our challenge. I would like to ask you to please identify your color choices in your blog post. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

This has to be one of my favorite techniques; colored pencil on dark cardstock. This was stamped direct on paper and then colored using my waxy colored pencils.

Now for our challenge!

I used all the colors!!!

However, before I add the color I used an aqua pen and white pigment to paint in the areas I was going to use the color. It created a truer hue, saturation, and less colored pencil application. I just love all the colors popping off the dark cardstock. It really makes for a fantastic effect.

After coloring the images I noticed its waxy texture took out some of the sharpness of the stamped image. No problem! I kept the stamp in my MISTI from the first time I stamped it. All I had to do was put the base right back in and restamp it. After stamping it again the image was clean and crisp.

Well, thank you again for taking the time out of your busy day to visit my corner of the internet. I do hope you will join us at Color My Heart Color Dare and play along.

Lots of good crafting vibes headed your way. I hope you all have a fantastic day and please stay safe and stay healthy. Until then take care and we will see you soon!

  4. Love the technique you used for your coloring... Beautiful card. Lucky you left your stamp in the Misti... I often do but not with the intent to have to use it again but I'll have to keep this in mind, better than using a black pen to go over some vanished lines.
