Cassettes

 Hello All,

Welcome to another challenge at Color My Heart Color Dare! For this challenge, you must use the colors that are specified. Remember black, white, and silver are free.

So what does this color palette spark? An occasion, an image, or maybe something in nature? For me, it brought back memories from days gone by. The years of mixtapes and retro color; yes friends, the 1980s! Here is my card for today, enjoy!

Stripes using this color palette remind me of the 80's mixtapes. Remember when a song came on the radio and you pressed play and record at the same time but of course, the DJ, was always talking at the beginning of the song.. UGH! Oh, what we had to endure as kids.

Now for our challenge!

Color Dare Challenge #452

Shawna Standish

I colored swatches on a piece of scrap paper in the same colors as the stripes. I then die-cut the stars and hearts using the swatches. This way I had a perfect color match between elements.

The cassette tape is popped off the page by dimensional tape to give it a more realistic look. Another element is the piece of acetate where you see the tape. Remember winding up your cassette with a pencil?

Well, thank you again for taking the time out of your busy day to visit my corner of the internet. I do hope you will join us at Color My Heart Color Dare and play along.

Lots of good crafting vibes are headed your way. I hope you all have a fantastic day. Until then take care and we will see you soon!
