For today I will be playing along with Sunday Stamps. I love the color combo and the succulents!! So inspiring! Here is my card for today, enjoy!
Layering the succulents gives it a more realistic feel. Rescaling the digi's gives you a lot of design flexibility. |
The succulents were colored using Prismacolor pencils. I lightly 'scribbled' the outline of the plants and gradually faded the scribbles. I think it adds glow to the design. |
The largest succulent allows a nice open area to the right for the sentiment. |
While shopping at craft stores I have noticed that succulents are all the rage. They are beautiful and amazingly resilient plants. I wanted to get a stamp set that would reflect the beauty of these wonderful little plants. I couldn't find a traditional stamp set but what I did find was a fantastic collection of digi stamps from Fishscraps. Their succulent collection was outstanding and allowed me to have the flexibility to resize and flip when needed. You should check them out; they are having a huge sale right now!!!
All the best,
Shawna
