Beautiful vintage images adorned with lace that was distressed on the outer edges of the card. |
This is as shabby chic as I get. I really do admire the ones who do it well. It is a very admirable skill. |
Note that the sentiment 'happy' is stamped with the same lace stamp as the background of the card. |
Detail of the sentiment. I added a bit of dimension and decided to build up the 'happy'. |
The Card Concept: #86- Old Fashioned Love
This card was almost done. All I had to do was stamp the 'for you' sentiment. It was all colored beautifully, distressing nice and even, and then it happened... I stamped the sentiment and it all went to &%#@!. I was beside myself, having to possibly throw away all the time I spent creating a beautiful card.
Then Eureka! I will use the spotlight technique and try to salvage what is good. Quite honestly, I like it better than the original. It was a happy accident and a nice addition to the design.
Well, that should do it for me!! Thank you so much for stopping by and do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. We will see you soon. Take care and happy stamping.
