Revealing

Hello All,

For today I am playing with a couple of different challenges. I am playing along with Tuesday Throwdown, Time Out Challenge, and Craft Stamper March Take It, Make It challenge.  Unfortunately, I don't usually make get well cards. As a result, these stamps usually collect dust. Today, however, I dusted them off and used, well one. So, Here is my second card for today, enjoy!

I would say this is the spotlight technique only in reverse.
And the dimension comes from the torn paper stamp.
Can you believe this is a one layer card!
I must admit after this card was done I had to sit down
and enjoy some tea to rest my brain.
I am in love with the way this turned out! I wanted the feeling that the recipient will soon feel better illustrated by revealing color from the peeled back layer. The masking along with the color has such an impact it feels like you could peel the paper back to reveal a new and better world.
Torn paper stamp.
From Stampendous and I believe it is retired. 😕
It does all the shadow work for you!!

Challenges Entered:

Gamsol was used throughout the design to achieve a soft, consistent, and comforting texture. For example, the top of the card is just one color which created this soft almost suede-like texture. The colors behind the neutral layer are bright, consistent and hint at feeling better. The 'top' layer, however, is full of subtle browns, grays, and tans which are insinuating the blahs of being sick.

Well, that should do it for me!! You will see me later in the day so until then take care and thank you for stopping by today! I know we all have busy schedules and your visit is always appreciated. So, until next time, happy stamping.

All the best,
Shawna
