Northern Lights

Hello All,

For today I will be playing along with Double D Challenges, and Just Us Girls. I have never seen the Northern Lights and hope to one day experience them for myself. Until then, I will dreamily admire them in pictures and videos. So, here is my card for today, enjoy!

This night scene is magical, dreamy, and unbelievably true, based on science! I love it!! The book covers challenge is an interesting one. I would choose the lower left cover because clearly there has to be a poem for this starlit night scene. Also, the dreamy quality and colors of the upper right cover resonates with this card as well.

Layering color was key to create this card. I used Twisted Citron, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire, and Peacock Feathers DI to create the Aurora. I tried to be careful not to blend them too much and keeping the colors clear. The trees were stamped twice by using Versamark black ink. This is an intense black and perfect for the starry scene.

What a fantastic and fitting sentiment. Especially now when our lives revolve around video calling, social media, and yes, blogging.
