Robots

Hello All,

Here to share with Y'all a new challenge at The Male RoomATG! with the option of technology is our theme! Here is my card for today, enjoy!
This card completely cracks me up.
The poor little robot in the back only trying to get a nice shot of himself.
When the other robot goes in for the photo bomb.

I used a paper pack to coordinate the colors. The embossed digital numbers and color palette really makes the card stand out. Yet, it is not matchy-matchy.
I think the top of the antennas is the perfect
embellishment for this male card.

Well, that should do it for me. I hope you enjoyed your stay but more importantly, I hope you join our challenge at The Male Room. Until then take care and happy stamping! Take care all and looking forward to seeing you at The Male Room!! Happy crafting!!

Rainbow in my Pocket

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today marks not only a new challenge, it also marks PINspirational's 200th blog post!! This is a huge achievement and honored to be a part of it!! Our card challenge is all about color and denim! So, before we get to our challenge I would like to share my card, enjoy!

A colorful card with bedazzled and laced decorated pockets makes for
such a fun card. The worn denim is an image I clipped online. I printed it twice; once for the card base and then the pocket.

This reminds me of Skittles. Remember, 'Taste the Rainbow'.
Anyway, this card follows our pin with all its color and denim texture.
The tag is usually where the name brand of the denim is displayed.
For this card, I thought this sentiment worked better than the others.
I thought it was a very nice touch.
Well, that should do it for me. I hope you have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by my little byte of the internet. I do hope you will join us at PINspirational. It should be fun! Until then take care and happy crafting.

All the best,

Sympathy

Hello All,

For today I will be entering Freshly Made Sketches and Color Throwdown. Unfortunately, this card was made to use immediately. Here is my card for today, enjoy!
Using neutral colors around the sunset really allows it to pop.
The sunset seems to be perfect for a sympathy card.
Because so many coworkers are signing this card
I have decided to make it a bit bigger (approx. 4.5" x 8") to accommodate multiple signatures and messages.
The sun and the sky color are very striking.
I feel this is due to all the surrounding neutrals and the jet blackness of the silhouette image and foreground.
Challenges Entered:
Freshly Made Sketches: FMS306
Color Throwdown: ctd461

As stated above I had to use this card immediately. It is a double-edged sword when creating such a card. One, the person lost a loved one and for that it is heartbreaking. In this case, my coworker's brother died very suddenly. I can't imagine his pain and sense of loss. With that said it brings me to my second point. It is nice to know this card was made with heart, not American Greetings. I only hope it will bring him strength and maybe some comfort. I know none of you know my coworker but if you could kindly say a prayer for him and his family that would be greatly appreciated.

Well, that should do it for me!! Thank you so much for stopping by and do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. We will see you soon. Take care and happy stamping.

All the best,
Shawna

Tropical Hello

Hello All,

For today I am honored to have been asked by Inkspirational to be their guest designer for this challenge! Thank you so much for this opportunity. So without further ado, here is my card for today, enjoy!

I really do enjoy the browns, yellows, and greens this card has to offer.
I used the green and yellow around the card for a bit of color.

The outline sentiment is light and airy and doesn't distract
from the overall design of the card. In fact, I think it only adds to its charm.
The pineapple was embossed then sponged using Distress Ink.
I wiped the excess away and it seemed to glow.
I can honestly say this card was almost thrown away.
Nothing was working and was not impressed how the pineapple turned out. So with no stress, I started playing around with the design. As it started to form I really started to like it, and the more I played the more I liked it. Now I can safely say it is one of my favorite card designs. I like the way the pineapple seems to glow. I embossed it and sponged the color over the embossing and wiped off the excess. Then I added the crackle stamp then started sponging around the pineapple going darker closer to the edges. That is what gives the pineapple its glow. Last was the sentiment, and this outline stamp from Stamplorations was perfect.

Well, that should do it for me!! I want to thank Inkspirational once again for being such fantastic hosts. I do hope you join their challenge. For me, it was great fun and I am sure it will be for you too. Take care and until next time, take care and happy stamping!!

All the best,

Autumn Stained Glass

Hello All,

For today I will be playing along with CAS(E) this Sketch, Just Us Girls, Retro Rubber Challenge and The Paper Players. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

Texture abounds with this card! There is visual texture from the background digital paper from MHKDesigns to the colored stained glass harvest panel. Tactile texture is also not ignored. The twine, stitched panel within the dimensional tag, vellum and the die-cut sentiment are all examples of how tactile texture was integrated into the design.
The focal image was stamped using the MISTI, which comes in handy later, then colored using white ink and applied with an aqua pen. Colored over the image using polychromo colored pencils and then stamped over the image again using the MISTI.
The single word sentiment says it all. With a bountiful harvest, you can't help but feel blessed.
This die cut is a smaller part of a larger die from Papertrey Ink.

Masking Leaves

Hello All,

Here to share a new challenge at The Male Room. For today we are experimenting with masking. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

This card would not be possible without a MISTI
and Post-it notes 😊. It is precise, detailed and very easy to achieve.

All the white really allows the masking to shine.
I also just adore this sentiment by SU. So simply perfect.
I used a stitched die cut to create a frame around my focal point. I think it grounds the elements of the card.
The trick with masking is to overlap your mask just a bit on the overlapping image.  This way it will be crisp without any gaps.

MHKDesigns Inspiration Post

Hello All,

Welcome to TheGrandStampede! Today I am going to show you some inspiration for your MHKDesigns digital stamps. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

The background was done using the shaving cream technique.
I actually did this background about two years ago and was looking for the perfect project to display it and then thought of using my MHKDesigns stamps! I think it turned out beautifully.

MHKDesigns vintage images work so well with each other.

I invite you to check out her Etsy store and see for yourself
the versatility of stamp sets and the variety of digital papers we have to offer
______________________________

I decided to leave the the MHKDesigns image uncolored as to not compete with the background. In fact, I feel leaving it uncolored allows it to pop only adding to design's beauty.
I love the leaves overlapping the die cut sentiment.
It adds the perfect amount of detail.
I encourage you to stop by the MHKDesigns blog to see more inventive ideas from our design team, and then play along with our monthly challenge, or just enjoy a bit of eye candy.

There is a lot more to discover at MHKDesigns Etsy Shop! Stop on over and see what we have to offer. It is certain to spark the imagination. So, thank you for stopping by and hope to see you soon. Take care and happy crafting.

All the best,
