For today I am writing on behalf of Make My Monday challenge. Valentine's Day is right around the corner and I thought we would concentrate on a familiar object, arrows! Here is my card for tonight; Enjoy!
Arrows are the name of the game this week. I used a die cut that features you guessed it Arrows! |
Challenge this week! |
The worded sentiment is encircled around the 'O' creating a sort of focal point |
A larger than life letter 'O' is flanked by the 'X'.
Used craft foam for a bit of dimension on both letters.
Challenges Entered:Color Throwdown: ctd378
Arrows are dominant and can be distracting. This die cut and use of color creates a continuity that evens out the entire design. I only highlighted the arrows using the ctd challenge that leads your eye to the sentiment. However the sentiment is not hard to miss. Red is also a very dominant color; taking this into consideration it made sense for the the letter sentiment to become center stage. Plus the red 'O' encircles the worded sentiment. All-and-all I think it works very well.
That should do it for me! I do hope to see you over at Make My Monday challenge blog this week. Let our challenge make your Monday special! See you there.
All the best,
Shawna

For sure all your arrows and sentiment work very well, Shawna!!! Love how you've done the bg colours and how you added extra colour to three of the arrows!!!!! And how great the X and O look and take the eye to the sentiment!!! The sentiment is lovely so small with the bigger ampersand, on the arrow!!!! I really like what you have done here, Shawna - I think it looks wonderful!!!
Have a great start to your week!!!
