Well, this time I would like to enter CAS Watercolour Card Challenge, Rubber Dance Blog, Allsorts Challenge Blog, SSS Wednesday Challenge and, again, Creative with Stamps. Here is my steampunk'ish card for today, enjoy!
|This card was watercolored using Brusho paints and water.|
Water was applied around the heart using an aqua-brush and Brusho's were then added.
I then added water to the bottom of the heart and let the water drip off the paper, sprayed water for a grungy splattered look.
|The simple black 'love' sentiment plays nicely off the black panel.|
I think the offset watercolored heart is super effective.
It almost looks like it is peeling away from the panel revealing the image below.
Left/Below: A close up of the heart I used to mask the watercolor panel. This card really took no time at all to create. Right/Bottom: The masking technique really was effective. By using a limited amount of water around the heart it gave me a lot of control with the paint.
