Geometric Birthday

Hello All,

Today I will be playing along with AAA Birthday and AAA Colourful challenges. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

Very geometric indeed!
Stamped the image, embossed it in white, sponged color on the paper, and then using the same sponge color palette I watercolor on top.

I wanted to keep the geometric feel by adding an outline sentiment. I completed the greeting
using a sentiment strip.

I layered the 'happy' die four times in white and once using black. I did attach it shadow using acetate. I thought it would be a nice subtle touch. The black outline on top of the white really allows it to pop!

Cooking Apron

 Hello All,

Today I will be playing along with The Male Room. I have always said my Heaven would be filled with all my favorite food and drink on hand, calorie-free. So with that in mind, here is my card for today, enjoy!

This card was the gift. I explain in detail below, and yes it involves food.
A cookie class to be exact. The apron and patterned paper set the tone for the cookies strewn around the card.

The gingerbread cookies are from an oldie but goodie by PTI.
The hearts and striped details were added by hand.

Opening up the card you see another sentiment. Underneath would be the details of the event.
I rarely do anything to the inside of a card but this seemed appropriate since it was a gift as well.

Challenges Entered:

My son had a milestone birthday, turning 16! By this point in his life, he is starting to figure out what he wants to do for an occupation. He enjoys baking and, yes bragging, he is very good at it. In the coming years, he will be exploring the culinary arts. To celebrate his 'sweet' 16 I bought a cookie decorating class for us with this card to match and announce my gift to him.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. I hope you all have a fantastic day and stay crafty my friends.

Hexy Bees

 Hello All,

Today I will be playing along with Color My Heart Color Dare, Global Design Project. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

Flowers and bees are images that always conjure up Spring thoughts. The background image was stamped and then sponged around the flowers using the same color to create a 'glow'.

Using only two colors was quite a challenge! Why? Because of the leaves, which are meant to be green. So to keep with the neutral theme I colored them gray. It reminds me of the black-and-white photos that were popular in the 90s. The photo was all gray except for one item; like a red rose or green eyes.

I wanted to give these pollinators a fuzzy-looking body.
So I used the stipple method to create dots of yellow color.

Challenges Entered:

Color My Heart Color Dare: #593- Only Two
Global Design Project: GDP#438- Sketch Challenge

Thank you so much for stopping by, and I do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. I hope you all have a fantastic day and lots of good crafting vibes headed your way.

Paper Flowers

 Hello All,

Today I will be playing along with As You See It and AAA Card Challenges. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

These beautiful flowers come from a new paper pack.
It pained me to cut it up but I knew it was for the greater good.. 😏

Figuring out where to cut this paper took the most time. The entire paper is so pretty but without thinking about it I cut right in because I knew time was of the essence.

Sentiment cut from simple black cardstock.

Challenges Entered:

AAA Cards Challenge: #261: Anything CAS goes (Spring Colors)
As You See It: Challenge #319: Spring Flowers- Speed Challenge
From Start to Finish- 12min.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. I hope you all have a fantastic day and lots of good crafting vibes headed your way.

Overlapping Eggs

 Hello All,

Today I will be playing along with CAS on Friday and Festive Friday challenges. Both challenges are about Easter- and well..... I don't see how this card could get you more into the Easter mood. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

Created a stencil using an egg die cut.
I started in the middle and worked my way out using Easter colors.

Yes, this card is very colorful. Yes, this card has the same image multiple times.
I would, however, argue that this card is CAS. Let me explain, Firstly, it is a one-layer card; Secondly, the image is consistent, graphic, and like I said earlier, a single item. Thirdly, and probably most importantly, the color. All the colors on this card are fed off of one another which offers balance and continuity. Plus, it took a second to make (well, okay, 5-10 minutes).

A short and sweet sentiment.

Challenges Entered:
Yellow, Eggs, Happy Sentiment

Flocking Flamingos

 Hello All,

Today I will be playing along with The Color Throwdown, Just Us Girls, and their collaborator, Time Out Challenge. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

The background was stamped from colored cardstock creating a tone-on-tone effect. I then pounced the stamping ink on the panel and used a white pencil to highlight the flowers and its leaves.

Then sentiment was stacked 3x for dimension.
I also popped the hibiscus at the same level as the sentiment.

The cardstock was also textured which brought some challenges. The ridges were especially apparent with the white highlights. However, in the end, it added enough texture.

Split Circles

Hello Everyone,

Today I am playing along with The Color Throwdown (🧡the color combo this week) and Freshly Made Sketches. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

I wish I could take credit for this design but I cannot. I got the half-circle idea from where else, Pinterest. I just love how the design is simple and yet so striking.

Foiled sentiment for a special person.

Keeping at CAS! I like the way the leaf  just hangs over
the sentiment. It gives the sense of depth without the bulk.
Challenges Entered:

Color Throwdown: CTD783

Freshly Made Sketches: FMS626
