Easter Blessings

Hello Readers,

Today marks the last day of MHKDesigns stamp release.. It ends with a remarkable stamp set! Perfect for those who celebrate Easter. Here is my card for today, enjoy.

Spring is near and so are the flowers.

I think addition of the leaves with the popped up flower
add to its dimension and color. This set is so elegant and full of Easter images.

This set is just amazing! The flower image was enlarged to cover most of the card. I then printed another flower image the same size. I colored both flowers with alcohol markers. I then fussy cut the second flower and added it to the card. I used a blender pen to soften the sky and its edges. The die cut leaves and branch were used to bring flower scene to the forefront of the card.

Hello Peeps!

Well here we are on Day 4 of the MHKDesigns stamp release! Up to this point the stamps have been serious, detailed, and had profound messaging. Well today we are going switch gears and have some fun! Today, MHKDesigns is releasing a set perfect for Spring.. Here is my card, enjoy!

The graphic images from this set are so much fun! Playing around with sizing and coloring
made for a super fun night of creating. The big black border highlights the bold lines
of the stamp images.

This set is not pre-colored. The tulips were colored using photo editing
software. However, the leaves, bunny, pots and highlighting were manually colored. 

Nothing says Spring then a row of spring tulips. I didn't like the way the tulips looked
so flat after printing. To solve the problem I highlighted the tulips
with white colored pencil for a bit more depth.

Isn't this set fun? I had a blast preparing this card. There are lots of other fun-loving sentiments along with bold images that are due to please any artist.

He Has Risen

Hello Again!

Here we are at day three of MHKDesigns digi stamp set release. This is one of my favorites from the release. The sentiments and images work so nicely together. Here is my card for tonight, enjoy!

The sentiment is so well done with a worn and elegant look working
together to recreate a beautiful Bible verve

Above: The focus is on the cross to the sentiment and lastly the lilies.
The cross is particularly pretty for its simplicity allowing the lilies to visually pop off the card.

Below: A closer look at the cross. Notice the touch of embossing which would probably go unnoticed. The milky white cross uses the same paper as the border of the card. So pretty and perfect for Easter.

I am writing from NEW COMPUTER!! Wahoo!! The best part is that it doesn't shut down when it feels like it AND my mouse works correctly.. It is also as quiet as can be!! So this is how the other half lives, huh? Oh what a joy to have a system that works.. And works well!! I have now officially entered the 21st century. How good to see you here!!

As I write this I am bundled up with a t-shirt, fleece sweater and my fleece bathrobe tied tightly to my waist so the air won't go up my back. Cold = tired for me so I should run off to bed. Thank you so much for joining us again and looking forward to seeing you soon!

Purr-fect

Today marks day two of MHKDesigns digital stamp release! The Design Team has been showcasing a set named 'Purr-fect'. As you can probably tell our little furry friend, the cat, is taking center stage. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

As you can see I had a bit of fun with this image. Cropping the picture focuses at the task on hand, feeding. Always a wonderful bonding experience for both the owner and their beloved pet. As you can see from the other Design Team's cards that there is a lot more to this stamp and even more purr-fect sentiments.

Birds & Branches

Hello Readers!

I am so happy to announce that MHKDesigns is releasing a new line of digi stamps. The Design Team will be showcasing a new set each day until February 20. To start, we are focusing on a spectacular set named 'Birds and Branches'. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

Enlarging the branch image makes for a wonderful
and easy background.

All new eclectic stamps and sentiments

I first printed out the bird, then die cut it to be a
scallop. Leaving the die cut in place, I lightly sponged blue
around the image to create a visual frame. 

I used die cut branches and flourishes to highlight the
bird on a branch image.

This card's subtle colors make for a good 'thinking of you' card. I used a bit of tradition using the scalloped circle but then added some modern touches such as the flourish and sentiment. This card has the best of both worlds.

These high quality images make creating a card a breeze. No pixels to worry about just a clean quality image. MHKDesigns is pro at mixing vintage with modern sentiments.

Colorful Birthday Card

Hello All,

For today I am writing on behalf of PINspirational to let you all know we have a new challenge these next two weeks. But before I get to the challenge here is my card for today.

This card has a lot going on. Lots of color and patterns but that is how I
remember birthday parties. The photo inspiration for this challenge
was great inspiration for creating this card.

I wanted to use bright, bold colors, and graphic shapes to reflect the
bright, bold colors of the inspiration photo.
I think the sunshine in the background is a nice touch for this very cheerful card.

Die cut the word 'happy' the 'birthday' banner was

part of a gift tag that was given to my son for his birthday.

I loved it and kept it for the perfect card.

I hope all of you had a wonderful Valentines Day. For me, we spent the entire day looking for a new computer. After some soul searching and compromise we settled on one and will be getting it tomorrow!! However, I am noticing this clunker is not acting up today... Maybe it knows... I wonder?

Rainbow Sunflower

Hello Everyone,

Well relief is coming soon as we ordered a new computer. Oh the dream of not having it shut down when it pleases...

On a different note Make My Monday has another challenge this week.. Before I reveal the challenge here is my card for tonight, enjoy!

Use the word 'Love'

I just adore this stamp from SU (retired) and am looking for a new ways to use it. The inspiration for this card came from Pinterest. The colors in this pin were so vivid and it just made me happy.. So I thought I would share a little bit of what inspired me to make this card.  I believe sunflowers invoke a sense of happiness and love. That is why I choose this card's sentiment to say 'Love You'.
