Dandelion Wish

Hello Everyone,

I am here today on behalf of Make My Monday challenge. As usual we have a new challenge this week. As usual, before I reveal the challenge, I would like to share my card with you, enjoy!

A trio of dandelions. Blow on them to make a wish!
But the catch, don't tell anyone or else it won't come true..

This weeks challenge

is to make

Repetitive images in different colors I believe is considered CAS.
A simple design and minimal detail are attributes for CAS.

They are fluffy but they are also very delicate. One touch can launch them into the air. I am sure there are so many memories of blowing them hoping your wish will come true.

Gift of Nature

Hello All,

For today I am playing along with Addicted to CAS, Retro Sketches, and Colour Q. All these challenges have inspired me to create this card.. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

Another one layer card. Heat embossed leaf scene
then added different shades of green using watercolor.

I wanted to take a different look at the word 'gift'.
Using the gift of nature seemed appropriate.

I think this time of year in the Northern Hemisphere I think we all amazed at the wonder of life. Leaves are budding on the trees again, birds are singing again, and the sun is out thawing us all off. I think that is why I really enjoy living in a part of the world with four seasons. Without any one season I think you have a less time appreciating the one you are about to embark. For me, Spring is on the way.. And for that hooray!!

Took a bit of experimentation to get the color just right.

I have experimented with Gelatos before and with not much success.. So I decided to give it one more go and I am glad I did! I feel the simplicity of this card is gorgeous. The butterfly fits so well on the card and the sentiment is suited for this image. I figured out that Gelatos needs spritz of water about 6" away in order for it to work.. Do you have any tips for Gelatos? If so, let me know..

Also I want to ask you if you are having trouble commenting on my blog.. The reason why I am asking is my mobile phone says that this blog may be malicious. When I go to check it out it says it is safe.. Can you kindly let me know by email: srspink.iguana@gmail.com that would be great..

Lousy Leprechaun

Hello All,

I am late in announcing there is another weekly challenge at Make My Monday! Before I reveal the theme take a look at my inspiration card for this week, enjoy!

This card is all in the spirit of St. Patrick's Day!
Shades of green are plenty and the subway art fits beautifully with our theme.

This week's theme is 

LUCKY

Oh those lousy leprechauns again are up to their shenanigans!! How? Well I supposed to post this last night but somehow those little guys made me forget!! They tempted me with gold AND chocolate! Then they put a forgetful spell on me then... then.... then..... Well, I forgot then remembered when the spell wore off that I need to complete my post. That is my honest story and I'm sticking to it!!

Anyway, all excuses aside I do hope you will join us at Make My Monday this week. It is a great theme and I am looking forward to what you create! Did I stamp on the card? Oh yes the word 'me'. The rest was done on with my handy die cut machine and some punches. Sometimes I do get a bit carried away with die cutting. However, it is so much fun to assemble the final product and see your minds eye vision in real life. I think now my die cut machine needs a rest for a couple of days... Humm... Ahhhh... Who am I kidding! We shall see... We... shall... see...

Today has to be the grayest most dreary day to date.. AND I LOVE IT.. Call me strange, but I really do enjoy gloomy days. The cloudier the better for me. With all this delightful gloom and doom I found some time to craft and create this card. The layout was inspired by a fantastic designer named Eileen Godwin from Eileen's Crafty Zone. Her dimensional circle cards are just amazing and thought I would try to CASE her dimensional style.
