Bouquet for Mom

Hello All,

For today I am playing along with the Color Throwdown and Freshly Made Sketches. I know I combine both challenges all the time but it suits me well to work well with a sketch and color themes. I am also going to add The Paper Players too. Anyhoooo, here is my card for today, enjoy!

This stamp set by Penny Black has been in my stash for years and I have never used it until now. I thought the bouquet would be a perfect compliment for the sentiment.
The bouquet and our little woodland critter were both colored using Prismacolor pencils. It seems fitting for a sketchy stamp to be colored using pencils.
The wood PP seemed to have the correct feel for our little woodland critter. The bow, or knot, softens the wood and all the white space keeps it CAS and bright.
 Challenges Entered:
Color Throwdown: ctd580
Freshly Made Sketches: FMS422
The Paper Players: CAS Challenge PP478- Woodland Critters

Thank you so much for stopping by and I do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. I hope you all have a fantastic day and lots of good crafting vibes headed your way.

All the best,

Quality Friend

Hello All,

Today I am playing along with the Color Throwdown. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

Koalas have been on my mind lately. I am sure it is because of the devasting bush fires that have occurred and seeing wildlife that is already vulnerable to extinction. So I am looking through my stash I have only one koala stamp. So I went online and did some looking and found these little creatures. It is a digi stamp from Pixel Paper Prints (Click here for the link). So cute.
I typed the sentiment on the computer with the koala digi and printed it out. I wish I was this original but I got the sentiment from one of the many stamp sets I saw while looking for images of koalas.
I colored the digis using Prismacolor pencils and stamped the eucalyptus leaves by masking off the marsupials (not bears 😲 I learned) in two shades of green.

Be Mine

Hello All,

Today I will be playing along with The Card Concept and CAS(E) this Sketch. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

The card follows the CAS(E) sketch and is an excellent fit for TCC. I felt the mostly white backdrop and limited colors were the vibe of TCC photo inspiration.
Above: The narrow thin font is probably my favorite element on the card. As you can see from the photo it follows the idea of the 'be mine' frames on its wall. Left/Below: I like the textured side banner it meets the CAS(E) sketch but is also light and airy like TCC photo. Right/Bottom: The cluster of hearts filled the space nicely and again, some different papers to add a bit of color and shine.

Challenges Entered:
The Card Concept: #128 {Be Mine, Valentine}
CAS(E) this Sketch: CTS #358

Thank you so much for stopping by and I do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. I hope you all have a fantastic day and lots of good crafting vibes headed your way.

Love on a Clothesline

Hello All,

For today I am playing along with INKspirational. The photo really inspired me to break out my cloud stamp and give a try. Well, here we are, enjoy!

One stamp, three colors: Hero Arts Cornflower, Memento Summer Sky, and DI Squeezed Lemonade. I brushed on a bit more Squeezed Lemonade on the bottom for depth.
The hearts represent a loving family.
The center heart is a nice mix between the true red and brilliant pink.
The wooden sentiment lacked any woodgrain pattern. To resolve this I stamped the letters using an intricate woodgrain stamp. I love the 'knot' on the letter O.
Challenges Entered:
INKspirational: Challenge 207 - LOVE photo

Thank you so much for stopping by and I do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. I hope you all have a fantastic day and lots of good crafting vibes headed your way.

All the best,

Steampunk Love

Hello All,

For today I am playing along with The Male Room and Addicted to Stamps and More!.  Here is my card for today, enjoy!

Look at the shine of this card!
The card base was coated with gold metallic paint and removed using an angler motion. I then added aqua metallic paint at the edges, some splatters, and finally a couple of steampunk heart stamps for good measure.
The steampunk elements came from my stash. All the stickers on this card came from a dollar store! That is what inspired this entire card. I loved the theme and all its metallic goodness. The padlock heart is one example of the steampunk feel.
I really enjoy this little motley of things.
Steampunk seems to put things in strange spots and orientations. I am not really deft with that skill but I tried. For instance, the picture of the fish in the frame. Why? I ask you, why not?
I usually do only one detail picture but in this case, there is so much to focus on that two photos seem to be justified. The gears and clock elements were diecut three times using off white CA and finally brown CS. I lightly painted gold on the top layer of brown using my finger. The arrow and crosshatch element was from the dollar store sticker set.

Challenges Entered:

It always seems to amaze me that most of us start out a project with a blank piece of white CS and come up with this! All of us do it, and I think it is a remarkable feat of creativity. Even CAS cards are remarkable. A lot of us know, especially me, that CAS cards are deceptively hard. Fighting off the urge for one gem, one layer can be the most difficult part of the design. I guess my thought of day would be... Keeping crafting on and sharing our work and hopefully inspire others to do the same. Einstein was a genius, right? He said: Creativity is Intelligence having fun! We must all be intellectual geniuses!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. I hope you all have a fantastic day and lots of good crafting vibes headed your way.

Chocolate Box

Hello All,

For today I am playing along with Freshly Made Sketches. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

The sentiment on the lid says it all.
Nothing like a box of chocolates to say I love you.

The 'chocolates' were comprised of brown CS, dry embossed using a geometric folder and then colored the square different shades of brown to give the impression of chocolates.
