Universal Language

Hello All,

For today I am playing along with NBUS, Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge, and The Paper Players. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

I thought this was an appropriate sentiment considering we are all in a pandemic.
Smiling is a universal language full of hope and joy.

I white heat embossed the global flowers and its stand.
This way all the inking I did around the edges resisted the white embossing making it extremely easy and foolproof.

I used ZIG markers to place color down on the edges of the globe then went in with an aqua pen to feather out the color.
I wanted to use the color to complete the circular globe. Not too defined but the idea was still apparent.

Challenges Entered:

The Paper Players: PP489- Theme 'make you smile'

NBUS: Challenge 14

Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge: Smile

Thank you so much for stopping by and I do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. I hope you all have a fantastic day and lots of good crafting vibes headed your way.

All the best,

Cool Flowers

Hello Everyone,

For today I will be playing along with Cupcake Inspirations. So here is my card for today, enjoy!

This card has a bright white base with an ivory Morracoon diecut overlay.
I decided to keep some of the pieces for an inlay. I thought it added a nice touch.

Above: What I like most about this card is its sketchy quality of the stamp. I didn't have to be too precise when water-coloring the flowers. Below/Left: The kraft cardstock is stacked on four layers of white cardstock giving it some dimension. It really does allow the sentiment to quite literally pop and the little banner finishes off the sentiment nicely.  Bottom/Right: Another example of its sketchy nature. Also, look at the subtle contrast between the white and off white colors.

Cupcake Inspirations: CIC 492- Color Challenge.

Here in the U.S., it is Staff Appreciation Week. Though we can't be in person to thank them for all they do; the next best thing is to mail them a handmade card. This one is slated for our administrative assistant for my children's school. She does everything! So I thought this card would be a good pick for her. I mailed it out yesterday and have yet to hear back if at all. No worries! Either way, I hope she enjoys the card and the message I left inside.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. Lots of good crafting vibes headed your way. I hope you all have a fantastic day and please stay safe and healthy.

All the best,

Magnolias and Moms

Hello Everyone,

For today I will be playing along with Watercooler Wednesday Challenge, Color Throwdown, and Freshly Made Sketches. So here is my card for today, enjoy!

My mother, sister, and I used to live on Magnolia Dr. in New Jersey.
The entire street was lined with magnolias and during springtime it was beautiful!
Two weeks after however, all the petals have fallen and rotted on the street. I guess there is a Ying/Yang to everything. The important thing is I remember the beautiful treelined street and I hope my mom will get the innuendo of what this card is saying.

The stamp set I used is from Altenew. The branch was diecut but somehow didn't look right. I realized the flowers were outlined in black and my diecut was not. The outline of the branch brought the entire composition together.

The flowers were colored using SU ink on watercolor paper.
I then took an aqua pen to blend the color out.

All the best,

Layered Waves

Hello Everyone,

For today I will be playing along with The Rainbow Challenge and Color Heart Dare Challenge. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

Tone on tone and lots of layers created this beautiful monochromatic card.
The outer layer is cut from a piece of teal patterned paper with gold embossed flowers. Once I die cut the paper the flowers were indistinguishable and became flex of gold throughout the card.

A single strand of twine is wrapped around the card with a gold flex around the sentiment. Again, you can see the gold is not overbearing it seems to be perfect for a top layer.

Challenges Entered:

Color My Heart Dare: Color Dare #391

The Rainbow Challenge: Challenge #16- Totally Tiffany

Thank you so much for stopping by and I do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. I hope you all have a fantastic day and lots of good crafting vibes headed your way and please stay healthy and safe.

Hello Everyone,

For today I will be playing along with Double D Challenge and The Card Concept. What a beautiful challenge and the colors are just divine. Colors, I might add, I don't use too often. So here is my card for today, enjoy!

A rainbow of Spring colors is just beautiful. The stamp is a retired stamp from SU. I saw this challenge and instantly thought of this stamp! I thought it would be perfect for Spring.

I simply stamped the image and colored it with various alcohol markers. I used the colors from the inspiration in the photo.

Again, a very easy card. This shows how I used the stamps the graphic nature to color it in using chunks or strips of color with some shading. All the colors together create a single color by using the same color family.

 Challenges Entered:

The Card Concept: Challenge #133- Hello Spring

Double D Challenges: Spring Showers and Flowers

Thank you so much for stopping by and I do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to spend time with me. Lots of good crafting vibes headed your way. I hope you all have a fantastic day and please stay safe and healthy.
