Today marks another Spring day. Here in the Northern Hemisphere things are starting to turn around. But still it is March and us Michiganders know, March is very unpredictable. Also, today marks the first day of our (PIN)spirational challenge for you to try. Before I get to the challenge I would like to share my card for today, enjoy!
The cutest fairy conversing with the mouse is what prompted the sentiment. Plus, I just got it in the mail today and had to try it out. |

Lots and lots of texture both visual and contextual. The color palette came from our inspiration pin. So Spring-like! |
I decided to layer up my die cuts for a bit more dimension. So I die cut the sentiment 4x and layered them on top of one another. The 'hello' sentiment was only layered 3x. |
Challenges Entered:
I have converted followers. I am now IN LOVE with my polychromo colored pencils. Their application is smooth and the pencil doesn't leave any waxy residue. The best part, they blend like a dream! My favorite aspect of this card, it is not symmetrical. Yet, it has balance and I think it is because the sentiment die goes past the image and frame which acts to balance the card. Which by the way, Isn't the fairy image the cutest image from Elisabeth Belle! If you enter you can win the image plus one more!
All the best,
Shawna
